In 2007, Robbie was promoted to Lieutenant and designated as the Deputy Commander of the Crimes Against Property Unit. He was also selected as the Commander of the Crisis Negotiation Team (formally known as the Hostage Negotiation Team) in 2007. This is a team called upon in many different types of crisis situations, such as a hostage situation or suicide attempts.
In 2007, Robbie was able to convince the Clayton County Police Department that they would benefit from having another polygraph examiner. The Clayton County Police Department now has two full time examiners, and has another officer is scheduled to attend Polygraph School this year (2008).
In 2007, Robbie received American Polygraph Association certification as a Primary Instructor and began teaching at the American International Institute of Polygraph.
He has spoken, by invitation, at the South African Professional Polygraph Association Seminar, in Pretoria, SA. Robbie is also scheduled to speak at the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Annual Seminar, Forsyth, GA, in March 2008.
In January 2008, Robbie was elected President of the Georgia Polygraph Association.
