Johnny Robert “Robbie” Frederick is a graduate of the University of West Georgia (formally known as West Georgia College), Carrollton, GA, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, in 1985.He has been a sworn Police Officer since January 1986, when he was hired by Jackson Police Department, Jackson, GA.
Robbie began working for the Clayton County Police Department in 1987. He took only two years to be promoted to Detective, where he started in the Crimes Against Property Unit. Shortly after that, he was transferred to the Crimes Against Persons Unit, handling cases ranging from Assault to Murder.
In 1995, Robbie was promoted to Sergeant and was transferred to the Uniform Patrol Division. In 2000, he was transferred back to the Criminal Investigations Division, as a Sergeant, where he supervised Detectives working in the Crimes Against Persons Unit.
In 1996, Robbie joined the Clayton County Police Department Hostage Negotiation Team as a negotiator.
In 2003, Robbie attended the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute (DoDPI) at Fort Jackson, SC, (now known as the Defense Academy of Credibility Assessment – DACA) where he received his Basic Polygraph Examiner training. He took over the polygraph duties after the retirement of the previous examiner.
